WORKSHOPS USING THE LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® METHOD

 

THE METHOD:
This method contributes towards the growth of individuals, teams and relationships. It improves communication, accelerates the innovation process, makes group work more productive and therefore increases companies’ performance. 

The method gives the opportunity to play seriously with LEGO® bricks in view of building strategies, improving organisations or thinking in a systemic way.     

THE STORY:
The methodology was originally created to redesign LEGO’s in-house strategy at the end of the 90s. Since then, the method has been used throughout the world by all sorts of firms to improve synergies among teams and develop companies’ potential 

THE PROCESS:
The methodology is based on cognitive science and promotes learning with one’s hands in combination with a story and metaphors. The process frees imagination, encourages thinking, listening, understanding, learning, decision-making and triggers change. During a workshop, participants are guided by a series of questions, drawn up according to the workshop’s target, then lead to think about the challenge and let their hands express themselves and build their own answer/model in 3D with the bricks. These 3D models are used as the basis for discussion, challenge solving and decision-making.
